Fall is the best season for clothing: You get to do a little layering, and you don't have to cover up all your new clothes with a bulky jacket! It's all about being comfortable and fashionable at the same time. Check out my picks for fall!

It's not OK to use animals for clothing, but it is OK to show appreciation for animals' natural beauty by sporting animal prints on your clothes. Take, for example, dELiA's Drea Animal Cardigan. This zebra-print cardigan is perfect for the brisker fall days.
For something a little more casual, check out dELiA's motorcycle fleece jacket. This jacket is perfect for those days when you just want to throw on a hoodie but you need to look more put-together.
It's always good to have plain T-shirts to wear under your fall staples. A great choice is Alloy's deep-V tee. I recommend bright colors to cheer you up in case this fall brings cloudy days!

Who said that flannel was only cool in the '90s? Throw back to the grunge era with Paul Frank's plaid flannel shirt. It will keep you warm, and you'll look cool.
If you're not feeling flannel, go with a basic black hoodie like B100 by B.Son's high neck hoodie. I promise that this will be the item you reach for more than anything else!

Lucky us! This season's "must-have" is the classic trench coat. They're everywhere, and my top tip is to head for Topshop for the most darling baby-doll trench coat and some gorgeous multicolored numbers complete with velvet trims and cute bows—so in-style! If you're looking for something a bit more hardy, nip to Dorothy Perkins for a parka with a girly twist. As for the boys, get yourselves to ASOS.com for your pick of vintage-style cotton trenches.
Now for footwear. Look for warm but practical and stylish faux-leather boots, suitable for autumnal strolls. Here's a treat: I've found loads to choose from! Log on to ASOS.com for pure sass. They have a ton of fab faux-leather knee-highs to keep your tootsies snug, and they even have a nifty "nonleather" search function to make things a little easier. Miss Selfridge is bang-on the "shoe boot" trend, offering some killer faux-leather heels that would make Gok Wan proud! One last tip is lovely thick tights from my fave American Apparel.
